These torsionally stiff, light weight couplings are capable of transmitting high torques at high speeds while accepting significant levels of angular, radial, and axial misalignment. They are easy to install, suitable for hostile environments, require no lubrication and feature a high torque to weight ratio. Specific designs are available which meet the customer’s exact requirements. Standard units are compliant with API 671 (American Petroleum Institute) and ATEX 94/9/EC.

No maintenance

Boston Gear's 800 Series contains a focused selection of compact, heavy duty helical gear drives that offer long-life performance and simplified maintenance. The 800
Series provides a functional
interchange for SEW Eurodrive
and other European manufacturers' helical gear drives, making it uniquely practical for replacement
applications.

Automatic engagement and disengagement

Delayed engagement produces a “no load start”

No slippage at full running speed

Controlled soft-start acceleration

100% efficient at rated speed

Standard, spring control, and deep pocket models

Protection against shock loads during start-up

Spring-applied, hydraulically released modular disc brake

300 kN Braking Force

On-site torque adjustment to precisely match application needs

“park-off” facility for fast pad changing without special tools

Spring-Applied – low pressure air release

Controlled reversal of belt

Automatic release of belt tension

Stops in either direction

CECON units are available with a disconnect feature that provides physical separation of the input and output shafts. This allows maintenance to be performed on the non-energized driver while the disconnect CECON is locked out in the disconnect position.

Designed for high-speed, continuous operation

View port allows visual confirmation of disconnect/connect status

Full-speed testing of isolated equipment prior to reconnection

Operates in adverse atmospheres

Reduced downtime

Long Service Life

Minimum maintenance
